About Us

“THE SMME COUNCIL” is an independent membership-based organisation representing professional bodies, business associations and small business chambers with the purpose to advocate for transformation of the South African economy and graduate SMMEs into corporate companies in a time based timeframe strategy through aggregation, amplifying and complete implementation of government policies on small business development and the full and complete implementation of small business charter thought- leadership, lobbing and policy change to achieve meaningful inclusive economic growth for all.

The long-term growth and success of small business is inextricably intertwined with the creation of jobs and an accelerated economic development and industrialisation of the country and the world at large.
